Q&A

Within Kiterocket, what are you known for?

Because of my experience across a wide array of agency disciplines (and my supportive nature), I'm known as the guy who's always ready to lend a hand on any project. I'm also known for being a former Kiterocket client. Oh, and for bad puns.

What's your proudest career moment or accomplishment to date?

On the consumer side, my proudest accomplishment was leading an international automotive design research product for BMW that guided development of its two-series automobile. On the B2B side, I'm proud of my corporate communications work after a significant company acquisition. I received special recognition for that work.

What is it you love about your practice area, and why did you choose to focus on this industry expertise?

I love having the opportunity to experience many industries and touch many disciplines, including writing, design, production, project management, strategy, brand development, public relations and research. I've worn many hats on both the agency and client side: account manager, business development and creative. All of it feeds my passions. When asked to pick a favorite, writing wins out every time. It was my first passion as a youth (besides football).

How would your colleagues describe you in three words?

Warm. Quirky. Insightful.

What inspires you to get up every morning?

I was raised on a small ranch and worked for a larger one. Getting up very early every morning in those days wasn't easy. Yet that experience taught me that work was not only a reality of life, but it was, in the end, rewarding and fulfilling. When my work began to merge with my passions, getting up every morning meant another opportunity to help move my company and/or clients toward their goals. That inspires me daily. And I still start early.
