Chongqing Aipu Technology Group Holds Signing Ceremony for Semiconductor Chip Industry Park

The signing ceremony for Chongqing Aipu Technology Group’s high-end semiconductor chip industry park program was held in Deyang, Sichuan province, on January 31, 2019.

The company has reportedly invested $10 billion in this program. This park will mainly house chip packaging lines for Aipu Technology Group’s photoelectric, microwave, thermal imaging IC, and electronic power product lines, as well as trade warehousing, a chip science research center and other affiliated equipment partners.

Hua Hong Semiconductor’s 2018 Revenue Soars to Great Heights

On January 31, 2019, Hua Hong Semiconductor reported soaring revenues of $249.1 million for the final quarter of 2018. This represents 14.8% year-on-year growth, an increase of 3.3% compared with the same period of last year. The gross profit rate increased by 34%, up 0.3% year-on-year compared with the same period of last year.

In 2018, Huahong Semiconductor’s total revenue was $930.3 million, representing 15.1% year-on-year growth. The profit for the year was $185.6 million, an increase of 27.8%.

Wang Hong, president, and executive director of Hua Hong Semiconductor, credits the company’s rapid growth in Q4’s revenue to the increased demand of bank card chips, MCUs, common MOSFET, etc. This was achieved because of the featured process platform Hua Hong provides, especially the technology platform for embedded nonvolatile memory and discrete devices.
