Dongxu Group Hold Groundbreaking Ceremony for Its Optoelectronic Industry Park in Jinzhou
Construction of the Dongxu (Jinzhou) optoelectronic industry park officially started on June 6, 2019. The organization celebrated this milestone with a groundbreaking ceremony. This is the first project of “1+4” program for the park.
Dongxu Group invested a total of 16.55billion yuan in the park to be allocated over five single projects. These include projects for carrier glass. vehicle display covers, optical film, switchable glass, and robots manufacturing.
Located in Beijing, Dongxu Group was founded in 1997. It got its start in the optoelectronic industry in displays, establishing the first domestic TFT-LCD glass substrate production line through independent innovation. Since then, it has engaged in a variety of industries including optoelectronic display materials, high-end intelligent equipment, renewable energy and eco-friendly.
GLC Semiconductor Plans Production Ramp for Chongqing Warehouse
According to a report from the Dazu Daily, GLC Semiconductor has launched Phase 1 of its Chongqing warehouse into production, after taking 200 days to complete its construction. The company will build 21 epitaxy and chip product lines with plans to ramp into production into October. Currently, the company has partnered with Fujitsu, SMIC, Wavetek, and others
GLC Semiconductor was established by Chongqing Jieshun Technology in the Dazu District.
The company’s core competency is the development and production of GaN-on-Si, GaN-on-SiC epitaxial wafers, and related chip design. GLC has mastered the core technologies and key experiences of GaN semiconductor fabrication process and has a number of core technology patents, which can lead to the rapid development of GaN semiconductors.
GLC’s epitaxy and chip product line project was signed into being in September 2018 by the Chongqing Dazu District Government and Chongqing Jieshun Technology. The planned investment is 5billion yuan to build an entire supply whole chain base including GaN expitaxy, development and manufacturing of GaN chips, packaging and test, and product design applications. It took about 200 days finishing the construction of the warehouse.
