China Mobile and Tsinghua University Collaborate to Research 6G

As the 5G wireless standard just begins to rollout, China Mobile and Tsinghua University announced they will begin scientific research on the next-generation standard: 6G. The two entities recently entered into a strategic collaboration agreement to research the future mobile communication network for 6G, including an industry network, artificial intelligence, (AI) and more. A joint institute will be established to develop leading technology solutions and products to push the transformation and application of scientific achievements.

Additionally, they will also cultivate talent and explore industry-university-research using this collaboration innovation mechanism to deeply integrate innovation, industry, capital, policy and talent chains. The two sides have previously collaborated in various areas such as an “Internet of Vehicles” united lab and a new generation broadband wireless mobile communication network, etc.

China Mobile’s R&D team, comprising over 10,000 people, has provided research for 172 nationally important scientific programs, and has over 16,000 patents. China Mobile also works with universities, institutes and partners to establish the next-generation mobile communication technology national engineering lab and establish a 5G united innovation center and eight college united labs.


Guoxin Micro Acquires Linxens from Unigroup for $18B Yuan

Guoxin Micro announced that it will purchase 100% of the shares of Beijing Liansheng of Unigroup, which is owned by Shencai of Unigroup, Zijinhaikuo, HongFund, and Xinhua Investment. The initial price of the shares totals 18billion yuan. The core asset of Beijing Liansheng of Unigroup is Linxens, a market leader in smart security chip components.

After the completion of the transaction, Ziguang Liansheng will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ziguang Guowei, and Ziguang Guowei will eventually control Linxens through Ziguang Liansheng to improve the smart security chip industry chain.

Beijing Liansheng of Unigroup was founded on May 21, 2018, for the purpose of acquiring Linxens, the leader in the smart safety chip module market. After the completion of this acquisition, Beijing Liansheng will become the wholly-owned subsidiary of Guoxin Micro.
