Last week, several major semiconductor projects were agreed to in Jinhua, Hubei and the Ganzhou Economic Development Zone. Read on for more information about those projects.

10 semiconductor projects signed in Jinhua

16 cooperation agreements were signed at the opening ceremony of the 2021 Shanghai Jinhua Week Summit on July 18. Of those, 10 projects cover areas such as new materials, semiconductors, integrated circuits, smart cities and related fields.

Some of the projects signed include:

  • A new semiconductor manufacturing base for Naxin Semiconductor Technology. The company received a 5.2 billion yuan investment and will use 26 acres of land to produce nanochip semiconductors.
  • Beijing Century Cotai Semiconductor’s production line will produce 220,000 pieces of 6-8” silicon carbide chips annually. The project received an investment of 3.5 billion yuan, and is expected to generate 4 billion yuan in revenue annually.
  • Nanjing Sibang Semiconductor’s manufacturing base project, which will include advanced packaging capacity expansion, an integrated engineering research and development center, and radio frequency integrated module production lines.

Electronic chemicals project breaks ground in Hubei

Danuoer Microelectronics Materials held the groundbreaking ceremony for its ultra-pure electronics chemical project on July 18 in Qianjiang, Hubei province.

The project received a 200 million yuan investment to mainly manufacture raw materials for chip manufacturing companies. Its total capacity will be 300,000 tons of ultra-pure electronic chemicals.

Wafer components project signed in Zhongxin Suchu High-Tech Zone

The signing ceremony for the Suzhou Peikai Wafer Parts Precision Regeneration and Cleaning Project was held July 20.

The project will produce 1 million precision recycled parts and 600,000 units of related components annually after it ramps into production. It is expected to generate 200 million yuan in annual revenue, and 20 million yuan in tax revenue for the city.

Suzhou Peking Technology was established in 2017 with a scope including research, manufacturing, precision recycling and sales of key components for semiconductor wafer, optoelectrical display and high-end manufacturing equipment.

Semiconductor manufacturing project signed in Ganzhou Economic Development Zone

The management committee of Ganzhou Economic Development Zone signed a strategic collaboration agreement with Shenzhen Skyworth-RGB Electronics on July 20.

As part of the agreement, 2 billion yuan will be invested to fund a project to produce storage semiconductor projects such as eMMC. The annual operating income from the semiconductor storage products is expected to reach 3 billion yuan.
