GigaDevice Receives AEC-Q100 Certification for SPI NOR Flash Line

Industry-leading semiconductor component supplier GigaDevice has completed AEC-Q0100 certification for its GD25 series of serial-parallel interface (SPI) NOR Flash devices. GD25 is the first automotive-standard Flash product made in China, and is the only domestic-made Flash solution to be AEC-Q100 certified.

AEC-Q100 is a vehicle reliability test standard developed by AEC Automotive Electronics Association used to implement standard specifications for automotive applications, automotive parts, and automotive electronics. Its goal is to prevent device failures and assure product functionality and performance.

GigaDevice’s GD25 full range of SPI NOR Flash products cover 1Mbit~512Mbit, 3.3V/1.8V power supply, and a wide range of package options. The operating temperature range is -40°C~85°C / -40°C~105°C / -40°C. ~125 ° C. The GD25 series is now in volume production. Extended certification for higher-performance, high-capacity products (1Gbit) and high-reliability SPI/SLC NAND products is also underway.

V-Silicon Sets Up Project in Hefei, Focusing on High-end TV Chips

The smart TV chip mergers and acquisition project known as Vision Semiconductor (Hefei) Corp. was recently set up in Hefei. The project is an important strategy for Sunic Capital in the field of smart TV chips. Vision Semiconductor is jointly founded by V-Silicon, Hefei Hi-Tech VC and Sunic Capital. It will rely on V-Silicon’s global-leading smart TV chip products and technology, together with development opportunities in China’s 4K ultra high-definition (UHD) industry, the developing China HD audio and video market, and the growing technology progress of China smart TV chips.

Vision Semiconductor will fill a gap which has hitherto existed in high-end TV chips and will help drive the development of the UHD industry in China.
