Seeking: Senior Digital Marketing Strategist

Reports to: Head of Agency Support Services

Kiterocket, a fast-growing PR and marketing agency specializing in the technology and sustainability industries, is seeking a Senior Digital Marketing Strategist to support client account teams in both our practice areas, working from our Phoenix or Seattle office.

Your main mission is to provide both strategy and oversee execution in five key service areas: SEO, email marketing, paid online ad campaigns (search and social), website creation (strategy and project oversight, not development), as well as provide analysis and analytics support related to all the previous categories.

The Must List:

  • Typically, 8 – 10+ years of digital marketing experience with a track record of increased responsibility, including agency experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, digital marketing, communications, or related field
  • Knowledge of the following software: WordPress; Google Analytics, marketing automation/email marketing platforms (e.g., HubSpot, SharpSpring, Marketo, etc.), SEO tools (Moz, SEMRush, AHREFS, etc.); advertising platforms (Google Ads, Facebook Business Manager, LinkedIn, etc.); marketing analytics tools; Microsoft Office with advanced knowledge of Word and PowerPoint
  • Critical skill set: digital marketing strategy development; SEO strategy; content marketing strategy; inbound marketing and online lead generation strategy; digital advertising strategy and budget management; website creation oversight; reporting and analytics; excellent verbal and written communication skills

Core Job Functions:

  • Work collaboratively with both Digital Marketing and Client Account team members to develop digital marketing strategies, including lead generation campaigns, email marketing, SEO, paid online ads, content marketing, and website creation, and digital analytics related to those services; help draft digital marketing sections of integrated campaign plans, including targets, tactics, metrics, budgets, and timing
  • Perform and present insightful, actionable SEO audits for clients; support scope of work generation for site fixes and ongoing maintenance
  • Create comprehensive strategies and user flows for multi-faceted lead generation campaigns that include CTA ads, landing page conversions and automated email workflows
  • Oversee Digital Marketing Coordinators/Specialists with hands-on execution for lead generation, email workflows, and email marketing campaigns from start to finish, including: drafting campaign content, working with developers to program and design, distribution setup, monitor/optimize and track results; ensure quality control and a sound technical setup
  • Lead strategy creation for search and display advertising (i.e. Google Ads), campaign conversion tracking, budgets and placement targeting; work with Digital Marketing Coordinators/Specialists to create decks to present to clients
  • Oversee Digital Marketing Coordinators/Specialists with set up and generation of digital marketing reports for SEO, email marketing, paid ad performance, lead generation campaigns and website analytics
  • Clearly demonstrate digital marketing initiatives are advancing client KPIs and leading to desired client outcomes
  • Mentor and oversee Digital Marketing Coordinators/Specialists across all aspects of digital marketing work
