Zinsight Technology's SiC semiconductor electronic control device for new energy vehicle project signed in Zhejiang ProvinceThe signing ceremony of an SiC semiconductor electronic control device for new energy vehicles was held at Shanghai Zinsignt Technology’s Shanghai office by Yaozhuang Town of Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province and Zinsight Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. on February 17. Zinsight Technology is a high-tech company led by 11 top doctors to develop, produce and sell SiC semiconductor devices and medium and high-end power electronic equipment.

This project will involve researching, producing, and selling various silicon SiC semiconductor electronic control devices for new energy vehicles, with a total investment of 1 billion yuan, including 500 million yuan in the first phase. Advanced electric drive systems—SiCTeX and high-performance SiC power modules, launched by Zinsight Technology, have been successfully applied to high-speed turbine equipment such as fuel cell vehicles, micro gas turbines, and centrifugal blowers, as well as aviation/marine electric propulsion and a unique electro gasification power systems.

The Tairuimei precision intelligent manufacturing project’s signing ceremony was held at Yangzhou Economic and Development Zone on February 19. With a total investment of 5 billion yuan, the Tairuimei precision intelligent manufacturing project focuses on researching, producing, and selling high-end metal structural parts. It has technical capabilities from material research and product design to process technology development.

The project will be built in two phases. The first phase is located in the European and American Industrial Park of Yangzhou Economic and Development Zone. The second phase started recently, intending to be operational as early as the end of this year.

Grandit’s central China base project started construction

Grandit's central China base project started constructionFounded in December 2017, Grandit is dedicated to researching, producing, and marketing electronic chemical materials for the semiconductor industry. It offers a variety of electronic chemical materials, including electronic wet chemicals, specialty gases, and precursors. On February 18, 2022, it held a groundbreaking ceremony for its central China-based project in Qianjiang.

With a total investment of 1.38 billion yuan, the project will build an ultra-pure electronic chemical base with an annual capacity of 196,000 tons. The by-products, such as sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, and hydrogen, produced by the surrounding Jianghan Salt Chemical Industrial Park will be used as raw materials to process into seven products such as electronic sulfuric acid, electronic ammonia, and electronic hydrofluoric acid for integrated circuits manufacturing.

CMCC established domestic first semiconductor craftsman college

1.	CMCC established domestic first semiconductor craftsman collegeCMCC is one of the largest semiconductor wafer manufacturers in China. In November 2021, the 8-inch and 12-inch epitaxial projects of CMCC with a total investment of 4 billion yuan officially began in Lishui Economic and Development Zone. The project is expected to be completed and put into operation in November 2022.

On February 22, 2022, CMCC held the founding ceremony for its semiconductor craftsman college in Lishui Economic and Development Zone. The college is the first semiconductor craftsman college among national technical colleges and will be utilizing a “dual subject” training mode. One person is selected by the University and the enterprise as the President.

Li Li (Director of Intelligent Manufacturing Department of Lishui Technician College) and Liming Tang (deputy general manager of CMCC) are the college Presidents. This semester, it will first set up wafer production process classes and power guarantee classes, with 50 people in each class. It will build more than five majors that are highly consistent with the semiconductor industry chain over the course of three years. The scale of the school education system will be more than 1200 students, and the scale of social training will be more than 1200 people.
