As a founder and CEO, Amanda sets the agency vision and holds herself accountable for results. A hands-on leader, she pairs her business instincts with creative thinking and roll-up-your-sleeves problem solving to steer the agency’s success.

A curious thinker, Amanda is naturally drawn to data and uses it to extract insights and implement strategies to achieve business goals for the agency and clients alike. She pairs this with a rich communications background, being well-versed in traditional PR, where she began her career, and digital marketing. Understanding the intersection and inner workings of multiple communications disciplines enables Amanda to orchestrate big pictures that stay ahead of the industry curves, and she has numerous award-winning campaigns under her belt.

Prior to establishing Kiterocket in 2017, Amanda co-founded Duo Public Relations in 2004, after beginning her communications career at a large global agency. She has provided communications counsel and outputs on behalf of many Fortune 500 companies and household names, led a number of award-winning campaigns, and helped companies of all sizes achieve their business goals through smart communications strategies and efficient execution.

An industry leader, Amanda served as President for Public Relations Boutiques International for the 2018-2020 term, representing a global peer network comprised of over 40 agency members across 15 countries, and serves in consulting and advisory roles for emerging tech startups, and is active in the women’s executive network Chief. She resides in Seattle and holds a B.A. in Communications from Oregon State University.

What is your proudest career moment or accomplishment to date?

Co-founding my own agency at the seasoned age of 27, with no money or plan, but with the conviction I would never let it fail.

What is it you love about your work?

As CEO, I love all practice areas equally. I especially love the practice of running a business. I grew up in a family-run business, it's part of my DNA.

What inspires you to get up every morning?

#Covfefe. My family. News recaps. The opportunity to cross ordinary tasks off my to-do list so I can focus on the extraordinary.
